Vikings 4x15 Ragnar Sees The Blind Man EXTENDED
Переглядів 336 тис.7 років тому
EXTENDED scene in season 4 episode 15.
"I am the master of my life." Free will versus Fate. Religion acts as an illusion of fate and manifests in those who believe its predetermined destiny. Hence, its danger: limiting our potential.
Not the point of this scene, but they still beautifully embedded Ragnar's reality of his life - constantly thinking of and about Lagertha.
Even the Seer cannot resist Ragnar's wisdom!
The only person in history I ever seen eat Canelo punch's and ask for more. I was shocked
Ragnar going atheist on the gods and saying man is master of his Fate and the Seer saying he might have been wrong is a crazy mind fuck to think about
I seen this scene many times, and it just hit me how selfless of a man Ragnar is or rather now much he loved Largetha that he lamented the loss of her child with another man that much. He loved her so much that her wants of wanting another baby “more than anything” is what Ragnar wanted for her.
My lord ragnar
Best scene
Let us all just pray that the world has more children with a healthy lifespan. 🙏🙏🙏🪩🪩🪩🫂🫂🫂 And that all children of fellow beings remain healthy and sound in body as well as spirit. 🙏🙏🙏🪩🪩🪩🌅🌅🌅
Yeah..but no one forced my beautiful Lagertha to out and fight!! Just like Ragnar and Athelstan..he Chose to go back with him..am I right?
And the seer was wrong. Ragnar didn’t die the day the blind man saw him. But the day after
This scene is the most underrated scene of cinema history
What is the name of the music of this scene?
Death of a legend i believe. If not it’s the closest thing to it
another day before I am put to death. You and your gods are wrong. You see, I guided my fate. I fashioned the course of my life and my death. Me. Not you. Not the gods. Me. It was my idea to come here to die. Seer: You believe that, so it is true to you. Ragnar: Ah the riddles you speak, They have no real meaning. Your words can be interpreted in so many ways that they cease to cause comfort or knowledge ... but rather confusion. Your so called prophecies are dangerous Seer: How so? Ragnar: By telling Lagertha that she would never have another child yet she got pregnant, but then because of your words she put her unborn baby in danger. So what if she didn't hear your words? What if she thought her baby would survive? She would have rested and protected it. and now maybe she would be the proud mother of a healthy child. Something she always wanted more than anything. So you presented her a destiny and she manifested it. Seer: Perhaps it was her fate to have the child perish in exactly the way it did. Ragnar: Well what if it wasn't? Seer: Well what if it was? Ragnar: I don't believe in the gods' existence. Man is the master of his own fate, not the gods. The gods are man's creation, to give answers that they are too afraid to give themselves. Seer: You may be right, Ragnar Lothbrok. I am only the Seer. I have walked among the lowest of the dead. And I have groped for meaning. And I may have been wrong. Ragnar: What did you say?
If I'm not mistaken being a seeer wasn't a choice or something you could escape it's not a way of thinking but a defect of birth that marked you.
My man found atheism in 9th century…
This is not how I remember this scene going
Legend actor
Probably the most powerful scenes of the series where Ragnar reconciled his beliefs and realized that all men are struggling through the same things even the seer had doubts. Ragnar also started to see how everyone manifested what was in their heart through their actions. "It is true for you" statement by the seer was the realest thing he said.
watch this scene in french it's a banger
i can see you ragnar lothbrok i can see you -the vikings are told of ragnars death😢

Is that the Grim Reaper?
No he's mysterious binig they ask him for advices sometimes he give them prophecies
the show was still good after ragnars death but damn it just wasn’t the same
Who is back ground music
For Ragnar to get the Seer to admit he might have been wrong is a massive deal in there culture as they would put there whole life and way of entering Valhalla into what the Seer would say. Imagine how many misguided and this is why Ragnar would say, if the Seer gave the wrong direction then who could our people still goto Odin?? Maybe its upto us to decide and not the gods. Truly powerful scene!
The Seer was actually intrigued and asked Ragnar for an answer to multiple questions. GOATED 🐐
How so?
Wish that soundtrack had been released
I still to this day don’t know why they cut out the part about lagertha, it had so much more meaning to it
Wym. It’s still on.
@@eduardbutnaru not in the U.S they cut out the part where he talks about lagerthas kid because controversy
@@ImaginePIays Damn.. sorry, here in romania, just finished it and it’s still on. 👍🏻

Just in this scene, Ragnar character was completed finding the real meaning of life and God
And I may have been wrong, I am only the seer.
Maybe that's how the oracle saw when he was young, his eyes were blind from birth, but his body became this way in a fire and the skin under his eyelids stuck to the upper side.
I had hope when he said ‘atleast another day’
beautiful
0:58 when u hear that music you know it's an important scene
What’s the soundtrack?
The Son of Man from Gatzby 😜 Zachariah's barren wife Elizabeth named Russ Miow Chong begot a man named John! The Son of Man is the King of the World but robbed by WHO. 🤣
9.6 rating by imdb, and you deserve got it
Amazing scene. The writing and acting in this show and this scene is astonishing. I was so sad to see Ragnar go.
You presented her a destiny and she manifested it. Exactly way so called fake prophet use deceive people. Great words from regna
press f to pay respect
Nice music, what is it?
No exaggeration, I've watched this countless times and I've send it to many friends to open their eyes, what he's saying here still applies to this day
Best speech ever I loved 🥺😔
🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
It’s crazy that in the earlier seasons the sheer told him “you will die the day the blind man can see” and the blind guy told Ragnar “I see you”
no he didnt. the blind was was king ecbert, and ragnar did see him before he died, so seer was right all along.
@@rauliuxas He said he'll die the day the blind man sees him, but he died 2 days after, in different circumstances.
@@zaigeix no , the blind man was king ecbert. he was blind from trusting him and trusting what ragnair said, and it was the last person he seen. therefore seer was right
Yes and that’s why Ragnar started with: it will be another day before i’ll be put to death which means Seer was wrong, cause he’s not dying in the day he meant. He guided his own destiny and death. Amazing💯
This scene... Bjornns last scene and the famous Ivar one transcend the show
Best character ever written
There’s an irony for me in this scene, In finding peace in his denial of faith, Ragnar manages to overlook the one definitive piece of proof of the gods, how did the seer come to him all the way from Norway
Is it just me or does Ragnar sound a lot younger in this scene like from season 1 again
Ragnar die heart broken
